Growng up, my family traveled each summer. Alternating between camping around Europe and camping around the U.S. My father seemed to photograph everything. He was routinely 10-30 minutes behind us, getting his perfect shot.

In high school there was a small darkroom students could use after school. My father let me use his camera. I was hooked.

In 1996, I graduated from Eastern Michigan University with a fine arts degree, concentrating in photography and ceramics. I worked for two years at Pewabic Pottery in Detroit before returning to E.M.U. for a teaching certificate and then a masters degree.

All the while I've photographed everything. I've been lagging 10-30 minutes behind my family, getting the shot just right. I've accumulated a small camera collection I like to work with, pinhole cameras, Poloroids, medium format and now digital.

I especially love photographing people. Take a look at my website. If you have questions, please call me, email me.

Thank you!
